Want MetroPCS with your phone? MetroFlash it!

Have a supported phone more on that later)? Only want to talk and text (most flashing services like this only allow those two things, though more stuff might work on certain phones)? Want to talk and text on MetroPCS? Then swing by a MetroFlash-enabled retailer and turn your CDMA phone (if it's one of the supported models) into a MetroPCS handset. The cost? $30, plus, it seems, your first month of service.

So what are the phone models? See below...though keep in mind that MetroFlash won't work for you if you're in a MetroPCS AWS-only area like Philadelphia or Las Vegas...

No PDAs except the Samsung i830 (?) and very few Audiovox\UTStarCom models. But if you have a mainstream "just-a-phone" you should be good to go to flash your handset to MetoPCS with MetroFLASH. Grr, I don't like lots of caps in product names...

Great stuff on MetroFLASH. There are some very high-end devices here. The LG vx10000 is the Voyager and the LG vx8800 is the Venus, two top of the line touch screen phones. the Samsung u740 is the Alias, which is QWERTY (as are the enV devices). Is there a direct email where I can contact you? I also work in the wireless business and would be interested in chatting.

I thought the UTStarcom PPC-6700 supposed to be in the list???

MetroPCS won't flash an LG VX9900, 9800 or 9100...I tried today. Very disappointed. Metro said as of today in this market anyway they're only flashing LG models contrary to all other information provided until now...

I meant to say 3 LG models and according to metro, they are the older, lower end....blah blah blah

The LG 9900,9800 are all supported fine. It can be done. I know for certain. Where was this that you tried? What store location? You should go back and ask them to look at their support page, which will show them that they can in fact do it. If they say they can't, ask them why. I bet it's because they can't program it properly. Tell them to do it with the keyboard open.
